Busy busy bee

Wow it has been a while! Starbird Bakehouse is as busy as ever and loving every second of it. We are so grateful for all the support we are getting from everyone that comes to the markets to have our crepes and cupcakes and love that so many of you already have your favourites!

We are sooo pleased to announce as well that the city of Nelson has approved our application to be on Baker Street and for the rest of the summer we will be set up throughout the week outside The Royal Bank on Baker. Thank you so much to the City of Nelson for supporting our new business.

After such a successful weekend at Starbelly Music festival, we are looking forward to next weekend's Kaslo Jazz Fest, we will see you all there for great music & food!

Our Summer Menu is Finalized & Ready to be Enjoyed!

We've had a very enjoyable week here at Starbird Bakehouse experimenting with and testing our new menu flavours....

For our Cupcakes you can look forward to: French Vanilla Bean, Carrot, Reese's, Chai Spice, Double Chocolate, Red Velvet, Cookies & Cream and Pumpkin! all absolutely delicious!

For our Sweet Crepes: "Nutty Monkey" -Nutella, Caramel, Banana & Almonds, "Rocky Road" -Nutella, Mini Marshmallows & Peanuts, "Funky Monkey" -Nutella, Peanut Butter & Bananas (my personal favourite!) .....just to name a few!

& For our Savoury Crepes: "Kootenay Special" -Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese, Dill & Lemon, "Pestorella" -Pesto, Goat Cheese, Basil & Pine Nuts, "Caprese" -Tomato, Mozzarella & Basil, "Italian Rocket" -Prosciutto, Mozzarella & Rocket, "Mexicano" -Black Beans, Tomatoes, Mozzarella, Cilantro & Lime

Starbird Bakehouse has been baking up a storm for the official grand opening of Inspirations by Sanderella in New Denver. They will be stocking our cupcakes all weekend, so pop on down for a scrumptious treat and some great shopping!! I've already got my wish list all ready!

Starbird Bakehouse Crepe Cart

Our gorgeous crepe cart is nearly ready for business! With the markets just around the corner and our applications in to set up in Nelson, we're just in need of a beautiful new Starbird Bakehouse Sign and this gorgeous weather to continue all summer!

New Menu Ideas

Our first market starts in 3 weeks, luckily for our friends and family we are baking up a storm, preparing our new menu to delight & entice all our potential new customers!

This weeks favourites are our gorgeous new Chai Spiced Cupcake with Vanilla Chai Frosting...

And our fluffy Carrot Cupcake with dried cranberries & walnuts, topped with Cream Cheese frosting! Both ideally served with a chai latte or a nice cold glass of milk! mmmmmm...

With summer fast approaching, we're dreaming of adding some fruity cupcakes as well - top on my list is Pina Colada - Crushed Pineapple & Coconut Cupcake!

Keep on eye out in the next couple of weeks for more of our new exciting menu ideas!

Successful Catering Event!

We had a very successful and full day catering the grand opening of the stunning new building in New Denver, that will carry inspirational designs by Sanderella and gourmet crepes & home made gelato by Francis. The new building features a gorgeous hand crafted mosaic island, hand painted clouds on the ceiling and a gorgeous floral painted mural in the washroom. The store will be a huge success and we can not wait for the official store opening in May!! Time to start saving our pennies as there will be lots of amazing pieces to buy! :)

Hope everyone enjoyed the party, crepes and cupcakes as much as we did!!

Catering Day! :)

Starbird Bakehouse is very excited to cater our first local event today- the private grand opening of Sanderella Gallery & Cafe in New Denver!!

On the menu, Reese Cup, Vanilla Bean, Red Velvet and Pumpkin mini cupcakes! And introducing our new sweet crepe flavours; "Amore" -Nutella & Strawberries, and "Nutty Monkey" -Nutella, caramel, banana & shaved almonds!  And for our Savoury crepes; "Pestorella" -Pesto, Goat cheese, basil and pine nuts, and the "Kootenay Special" -smoked salmon, cream cheese, lemon & dill! - all ready to be enjoyed!! xoxo

Market Season, and the countdown begins!

Starbird Bakehouse is pleased to announce that we have been approved for Nelson's Downtown Market, every Wednesday 9:30-5:30 from June 15th - September 28th! We will also be at Kaslo Market every Saturday from 10:00-2:00, starting June 11th running all summer until September 24th!

We are very excited, and can't wait to see all of you at this summer's markets!! come on down to meet our crepe chef Roger and test our delicious new menu!
