Wedding Season comes to an end!

WOAH! It's safe to say that was our busiest summer yet! Our "newborn" is now 5 months old, and we survived 30+ weddings, 5 festivals, endless markets & custom orders galore in just 3 months! I feel like it's time to hibernate... So unlike most people, I am welcoming winter with open arms and look forward to a bit of relaxing time with my boys, skiing and the holidays! There is no way to narrow down my favourite cakes & cupcakes from this summer, but I will post some of the highlights, a little glimpse of the wonderful & successful summer that it was! Thank you to all my lovely brides & clients for giving us the opportunity to expand & be creative! 

Heat Wave & Cupcakes!

We're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave. This song has been repeating itself in my head alongside visions of Marilyn Monroe's dancing to it... It has been hot lately, very hot!

Despite the heat, our Bakehouse is as busy as ever with weddings and fun custom orders keeping us entertained!

We get asked a lot about doing custom cupcakes and cakes for people & I absolutely LOVE doing these orders! It's always so fun to do new themes and decorations for a variety of interests, and the excitement (challenge) that goes along with stepping outside my love for girly cupcakes & gold! I had the opportunity to make my sons 2nd birthday cake last weekend and it just had to be his favourite Thomas the Tank Engine, a fun cake to do! :)

Wedding Season is upon us!

      Wedding Cakes & Cupcakes - Nelson, BC

We haven't blogged in ages!!!! After 2 very successful seasons with our crepe & cupcakes business, our 1 year anniversary of our Teahouse Boutique, 1 new baby & a 2 year old, it has been busy to say the least! But we are as happy and excited as ever for this summer in Nelson, BC, with its gorgeous summer markets, music festivals & lakeside beach!

Speaking of busy, wedding season officially kicked off last weekend, and we're happy to say we have 20+ weddings booked between now and September 1st! (OMG!) I do love weddings, I love that each wedding is unique, and the custom designing that we are able to do to compliment each wedding theme and the personalities of the bride and groom!
