Wedding Season comes to an end!

WOAH! It's safe to say that was our busiest summer yet! Our "newborn" is now 5 months old, and we survived 30+ weddings, 5 festivals, endless markets & custom orders galore in just 3 months! I feel like it's time to hibernate... So unlike most people, I am welcoming winter with open arms and look forward to a bit of relaxing time with my boys, skiing and the holidays! There is no way to narrow down my favourite cakes & cupcakes from this summer, but I will post some of the highlights, a little glimpse of the wonderful & successful summer that it was! Thank you to all my lovely brides & clients for giving us the opportunity to expand & be creative!

We haven't blogged in ages!!!! After 2 very successful seasons with our crepe & cupcakes business, our 1 year anniversary of our Teahouse Boutique, 1 new baby & a 2 year old, it has been busy to say the least! But we are as happy and excited as ever for this summer in Nelson, BC, with its gorgeous summer markets, music festivals & lakeside beach!

Speaking of busy, wedding season officially kicked off last weekend, and we're happy to say we have 20+ weddings booked between now and September 1st! (OMG!) I do love weddings, I love that each wedding is unique, and the custom designing that we are able to do to compliment each wedding theme and the personalities of the bride and groom! Newbies to Nelson, BC

So it is official, my husband, myself and my 7 month pregnant belly have uprooted our soon to be expanding little family from London, England to Nelson BC, Canada! We have sold our beloved Society Cupcakes in London, with the dreams of making our new husband-wife venture "Starbird Bakehouse" a success in this gorgeous picturesque town in the Kootenays, otherwise known as Nelson.

Hopefully Nelson has a sweet tooth, as we are currently expanding our menu to include scrumptious sweet and savory crepes as well as some new and exciting cupcake flavours!!
